Because it was POURING rain, I told Tanya that I had arranged to take pictures in a back room of The Dining Room. What had actually happened is that Doug had planned to propose to Tanya in that back room weeks earlier. And, in fact, several of their family members and closest friends were gathered there waiting to watch! (Tanya, I hope you didn’t think it was rude that I kept texting during our session – it was actually Lyndsay, letting me know that everyone was there!)
As soon as Tanya opened the door and saw everyone, she knew exactly what was going on. She froze! Doug and I were practically pushing her in the door! And this is what happened next:
