Meet Morgan Ford. We went to high school together in Erwin, Tennessee, back in the day. Because of the greatness of Facebook and other social networking sites, Morgan and I reconnected over the interwebs a couple of years back. It was fun to find out that we now had a shared interest! Morgan is an amazing photographer; click here to see her work.
At the time we reconnected, Morgan was living in San Francisco. She was nice enough to host Dan and I while we were on our cross country road trip in late 2009. Not only did she let us stay at her place for three nights, Morgan and her boyfriend, Chris, cooked us an amazing Thanksgiving dinner! That seriously goes above and beyond hospitality in my book!
Anyway, Morgan has now moved closer to home and has opened a studio in the awesome artsy town of Asheville, North Carolina. I was pumped when she asked me to take some website portfolio shots for her last year!
Morgan had lots of great ideas for the shoot. She wanted to bring along her medium format camera and some cool vintage furniture. We made the trek up to “The Beauty Spot”, which is a beautiful lookout not far from where we both grew up in northeast Tennessee. Those mountains are not photoshopped in! =)
Upon reaching this location, we realized something that we had both neglected to think about…. it was FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, it was probably the coldest & windiest day I experienced in all of 2010. And Morgan was in a dress! She was a total trooper and I loooove the way these images turned out.
I am soooo excited to have Morgan take some new profile pictures for ME later this year! =)
