I met little Liliana when she was only 10 days old. Her entrance into this world wasn’t exactly typical. Mom Suzanne said she had a sense during the pregnancy that something wasn’t quite right, but the doctors told her there was probably nothing wrong. Immediately after she was born, however, it became clear that something was wrong.
Liliana was born with a congenital heart defect and the day after Valentine’s Day underwent Open Heart Surgery. Her parents say she is a rock star and wowing doctors, however she is still in the recovery process. Just today she was taken off the ventilator! Please pray for her continued recovery.
My thoughts are with her as well as her two big brothers and her mom and dad. I feel so privileged to have been able to photograph their family at such a vulnerable and scary time in their lives and I hope that they will cherish these photos for years to come.
I can’t wait to see this little girl grow up!
Such beautiful pictures! I’m so happy to hear she was able to come off the ventilator. They are definitely in my prayers.
